My top picks: The best podcasts, books, & videos of 2024

Since leaving my corporate job in June, I’ve been diving headfirst into a LOT of startup and entrepreneurial content. It’s been a fascinating journey filled with incredible resources that have sparked new ideas and shifted my perspective.

In this edition of Building Great Experiences, I’m sharing the top podcasts, newsletters, books, and videos that stood out in 2024. If you’re looking for actionable insights, inspiration, or just great stories, these are worth your time.

The Anti-Consultants 🤘

Before we jump into my favorite content from 2024, I wanted to share our newest series of videos over at StealthXThe Anti-Consultants. I wrote the script and we put a ton of work into getting this filmed, edited and launched by the new year. I’m so stoked with how it all came out! Special shout out to the team at Engine Three for an amazing job on these!

🤔 What I’m mulling over

I’ve been intrigued by MrBeast after reading his leaked document, How to Succeed in MrBeast Productions (below). The level of strategy, precision, and practicality he applies to capturing and retaining attention is fascinating.

There’s a lot to take away from how MrBeast runs his business, from obsessing over audience needs to reinvesting profits into better content. His ability to innovate continuously is a playbook every leader should study.

If you’re building a business, exploring a new idea, or just curious about how others are succeeding, these resources are a great place to start. They’ve inspired me in countless ways this year, and I hope they do the same for you.
